• This time I kinda want to defend the girl, because in middle school, we most of the time don’t realize how obnoxious we are acting. This girl probably thought it was completely normal to act like this around her birthday celebration and wasn’t afraid to draw attention to herself, in contrast to the avenger, who clearly felt minimized by her ‘entitlement’. What I mean when I say that his revenge was silly was that she probably thought he was insane and didn’t come close to him anymore because of that, not because she realized she ‘can’t mess with him’. She was obviously not thinking about anyone else’s inferiority; she was just asking for a book she felt entitled to. I agree she didn’t have any manners, but a truly powerful move would’ve been telling her that with a very serious face. Of course, we’re talking about middle-schoolers, so what did I expect, lol. Throw that book, boy!
